We
are a family business specializing in Flameworked glass beads and
sculpture. I am a self-representing artist (SRA). Each one of a kind
piece is individually made by me, Julie Karnos, in my Montana studio.
I use a wide variety of glasses including Effetre (aka Moretti), Vetrofond, Double Helix, Lauscha.
Each piece goes directly from the flame into a digitally controlled
kiln and is annealed for strength and durabilty. After they are
annealed each piece is individually cleaned and inspected before going
up for sale.
While I am the artist, David is the "everything
else you need to survive as an artist" half of the team. His
specialties include loading, driving, Yorkie sitting, and, most
important of all, the moral support and encouragement I need to keep
going.
